Dr. Melissa Krizner-Meza (Dr. K) is originally from Pittsburgh but grew up in south Florida. She graduated from University of Miami with a BS in Communications. After a ten year career in hospitality, she completed post-baccalaureate work at FAU and then obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine from University Florida School of Dentistry. This also happens to be Dr. Ramkissoon and Dr. Weiss’s alma mater. They even shared some of the same professors!
Dr. K's favorite part of the job is meeting new people, but what she loves even more about being a dentist is getting to build relationships with patients and their families. In her own words, “I love that dentistry connects me with people and communities. It provides me a way to give back.” In her free time, Dr. K loves all types of crafting, especially knitting; she loves it all! She also enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two dogs, Cora and Lola Rose. One of the things we loved most when learning more about Dr. K was her compassion for those in need. She loves to be involved in giving back in the community. Dr. K has spent time providing dental services to the underserved at WeCare Clinic in Gainesville, FL, Mission of Mercy, FIMRC Medical Mission to Peru, Remote Access Medical, AAWD, Super Sealant Saturday Dental Children's Program and Summer Health Professions Education Program. |
